Founded in 2009, Glimmerleaf Institute began as a small language school in Melbourne with a simple yet powerful vision: to help international students and professionals master English communication skills for global success.
What started as a modest classroom with just 12 students has grown into Australia's most respected English language institute, serving over 5,000 students annually from more than 40 countries.
Our founders, Dr. Margaret Thompson and Professor James Mitchell, both experienced linguists and educators, recognized the need for a comprehensive English learning approach that goes beyond traditional grammar lessons to focus on real-world communication skills.
